Press reports estimate that up to one-third of the earth's 6.9 billion people watched the royal wedding in London this morning. Out of that throng, 16 were shoehorned into Karen Mazo's cozy living room in Woodhaven, just one of innumerable dawn parties held across this constitutional republic that rejected its own king centuries ago.
