PulteGroup 1Q loss deepens as fewer homes sold

Bloomfield Hills— Homebuilder PulteGroup said its loss widened in the first three months of the year because it sold fewer homes, and the average price of the homes it sold dropped. But new orders for homes rose during the beginning of the key spring home-selling season.
